Here comes Self-Sanitizing Mask Technology

In this currently ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which made mask an apparel for every human, we have seen many different kind of mask. With some eye catching design, festive designed mask, home-made, popular hero version mask and many more. Many made mask fashionable wear.

Here comes the self-sanitizing Mask. Breathe Easy Labs recently launched Made-in-India  Karbon face masks with three-layered protection. This technology based Self-Sanitizing mask has been designed using material sourced from the US and Europe, which has been tested by NIOSH (The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) and is made from biotechnology-based patented fabric. It claims that the fabric material provides safety against airborne pathogens and viruses.

Barun Aggarwal, CEO Breathe Easy, said that the mask is self-sanitizing, which kills virus and bacteria and it is durable, washable and reusable. Other protective masks like N95 work on filtration mechanism to protect against microbes, the Karbon face mask reportedly has an inner layer comprising high grade imported yarn with antimicrobial properties, which neutralizes viruses and pathogens on contact.

Karbon face mask has 3 layers of protection, which makes it more efficient than other masks :

  • First layer reduces the virus effect on contact.
  • Second layer protects one from microbial infection and cuts down on the chance of  secondary infection.
  • Third layer (inner), made of superior grade bio-yarn, maximizes protection (better than other masks) against airborne pollutants for a long duration.

Karbon face mask material protects skin with its moisturizing properties, makes it beneficial for daily use.

Aggarwal said, "The Karbon face mask is a sustainable, comprehensive and economic choice against airborne infections. Although the N95 is a popular choice since it protects against airborne infection and the deadly virus, however, it needs to be discarded after a few hours of usage and is not reusable."
